   I’m not so sure Nevitt was joking. Athletes aren’t always the brightest bulb in the room… case in point, around the time Nevitt made remarks, Bob Horner was asked why he didn’t have a beard and replied “I’ve been traveling so much, I haven’t had time to grow it.” And there’s the famous observation about Mike Tyson when he was just as stupid after serving his time: “Why would anyone expect him to come out any smarter? He went to prison for three years, not Princeton.”
