So tired of all the Twilight hate…it’s a popular series loved by many. Deal with it. If you don’t like it, don’t read/watch it. It’s that simple. You don’t have to keep bitching about it and ruining it for the fans.
Want a book to blow your mind in the same aspect as that Twilight comment? Try Harry Potter. I fell asleep after three pages.
Twilight is a popular series loved by little teeny boppers who have no idea how real realtionships are supposed to work. I read the entire series and don’t like it at all. If I want to complain about what a horrid series it is then I will, no matter how much it apparently “ruins it for fans.” And I must ask you Kendall, why do all Twilight fans automatically jump on the “I Hate Harry Potter” bandwagon whenever someone speaks ill of Twilight? I never realized there was a competition between the two.
There are many other fans besides teenie boppers who love the series. There are several middle-age women and everyone in between who enjoys it as well. What’s so wrong about wanting a relationship where a guy will do anything for you and will be with you forever? I guess you have to have had your heart broken as many times as I have to appreciate it.
As for the Harry Potter thing, the two have been compared since before I even knew of Twilight, and people say Stephenie Meyer can’t write but J.K. Rowling can. I concur, because if a bookworm like me gets lost and bored after 3 pages of a supposed good series, then it sucks.
And Twilight gives a false reality of how relationships are supposed to work? Okay, but Harry Potter gives an accurate example of life? Just say a few B.S. phrases and anything you want to happen will do so. Yeah, that’s really how life works…
Twilight also promotes abstinence, and we really need that in this society with all the 15-year-olds running around with illegitimate kids living off our tax money.
So yeah, stop ruining Twilight for the fans, you aren’t going to change their opinions so stop trying to. If we want to watch the series or read the books, we will. It’s our God-given right and we should be able to do so without all the haters.
I enjoy both series, but I also realize that they are FICTION. I’m also not obsessed over either, and would like to point out to the haters of either series, the more you speak up about loathing it, the more people will be drawn to reading/watching it. That’s why I picked up a Twilight book in the first place, and found I enjoyed the series on a light-hearted level. Had my friend not been constantly harassing me about how horrible it was, I probably never would have given it a second look.
Kendall, all the arguments against twilight are not going to ruin it for the fans. Those who don’t like it have as much right to state what they have against it as you have the right to state what you have for it.
Me personally, I enjoyed reading the series. It’s not something i’d recommend to everyone. The reader need to have some natural common sense, and realize that the book’s reality is different from reality. In reality, someone who sneaks into your room at night to watch you sleep is a creepy stalker. But when it’s a vampire, it’s a kind of “forbidden love” thing. It is a light hearted romance, not something you want to take seriously.
Then again, even I get weirded out by Twihards. There is such a thing as being too much of a fan.
The way I look at it, Twilight is just like Justin Bieber, L’il Wayne, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, the New York Yankees, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Oakland Raiders, and the Dallas Cowboys, many fans and many haters.
did anyone notice that Kendall “concurred” to the fact that JK Rowling is a better writer? This “bookworm” has very pooooooor vocabulary. Good luck in life homo, and good luck finding a real relationship. You’re probably fat and retarded like everyone else that reads it and wants a handsome guy to sweep you off your feet. It’s not going to happen. The best you’ll get is a hot guy with aids.
That being said……
AVADA KEDAVERA! bitch
