I wouldn’t really know what to say, I mean, he knows where I live, my phone number, it’s kinda creepy but at the same time, it’s nice that somebody got the guts to talk to me like that, I guess I’d talk to the guy and if he turns out to be a jerk i’d just let him go.
It’s got nothing to do with PC, you goofball…Of course people should be able to ask each other out. The distinction is that she didn’t give him her number. He didn’t ask for it at at the bar or the coffee shop. She was required to give it to get a pizza delivered, and he mined that personal information from the pizza order. The ill-gotten information is the issue, not a man asking a woman out.
I’m with AlfaCowboy on this one. If he had asked her out at the door, or next time she ordered, told her he wanted to date her, that’s one thing but to misuse his position by taking her phone number from the order and texting her using the phone number she was required to give to place an order, is a violation of privacy and would probably get him fired or at least reprimanded. There are laws about how companies can use information gathered and I’m pretty sure this isn’t covered. Some companies have rules against dating customers for a reason.
Plus that text was just straight up creepy and if you don’t think so, you’ve never been stalked by a creepy dude.
I used to be a delivery guy, and there were definitely girls I wanted to hit on at their door. I didn’t do it, though, because I thought it would be creepy. What’s my pick up line supposed to be, “Can I get your number? Oh, wait. I’ve already got it. Well, see you after you go to sleep!”
Wow!!! This has stalker written all over it. I hope she called his employer as I wonder how many times he has done this. If she ordered again i hope she asked for a different delivery person. The loser needs to join a dating site..but mostly would be rejected based on a strange profile.
Sorry I agree with the others. This has nothing to do with PC or a guys ability to ask a girl out. If he had asked at her door and said “Hey your cute.. wanna go get coffee some time?” Or something that one thing.. using her number she had to give when she ordered her pizza? That shits creepy.
