Yeah, the second guy also has poor sentence structure. Also, use one dictionaries?
I think the second person was trying to say, “You should use a dictionary to determine what spelling you should use for the word lose.” Of course, should the commentator have done that, it would know that the OP was correct. Since, looses is not a word.
The OP was right

Yeah, I love it when someone plays teacher and corrects someone else, then turns out to be wrong.
By the way, T-Rex, “looses” IS a word. It is the 3rd person singular present of the verb “loose.”
Reminds me of a FB discussion I saw years ago.
“Y’know that ain’t ain’t actually a word? It ain’t in the dictionary.”
“Really? It ain’t?”
“Dictionaries, use one” makes sense. There could be a stack of dictionaries on a table but you only need one of them to find the word.
Rock on, it is not. I double checked in Merriam Webster. The 3rd party term for to loose is loosens, not looses.
Finally, the sentence fragment of, “Dictionaries, use one,” is still bothersome.
Wow!!! The person who responded needs to go back to school you loser.
